Chicken Grilled Honey - Chicken is kind of meat that being favorite by lot people for side dish served with rice. A lot of kind fickle dish in Indonesia can be made with chicken as main ingredients. I am the one of chicken meat liker’s especially free-running chicken. To pampering family in some day, I often to trying out some ingredients from many Province signature - cuisine with chicken as main ingredients. I love the Indonesian’s food dish because usually Indonesian dish using lot of spices and useful for body’s health.

When I was reading rubric of ingredients recipe in a tabloid for Indonesia’s family, I found out recipe for (Ayam Bakar Madu) Chicken grilled with honey and it makes my mouth water and want to try it out. When it was holidays with my husband and my child we’re going to a plantation in Semarang, at the place we found out in plantation zone there was lot of people making tents in everywhere, so we making our own tent that enough for 4 people for my self, my husband, and 2 of my child. At night we enjoying recipe dish Chicken grilled with honey in cold weather and escorted by warm-milk the feeling was so great. This one can be my tips for keep the families harmonize. Chicken Grilled Honey Recipe


  • 1 Chicken meat, chopped into few pieces
  • 6 clove of garlic
  • 1 diced of ginger
  • 1 tea spoon salt
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 5 tbsp sweet ketchup
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 diced turmeric
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

How to make:

  1. Minced 3 cloves of garlic and ginger and salt and mix it until blended. After the spices blended and its color turn into brown-gold add some water and add the chicken meat. Wait for approximately 20 minutes till the chicken well cooked and remove it and dry.
  2. Minced 3 cloves of garlic and 1 grains of turmeric and mix it with honey, lemon water, sweet ketchup, turmeric and olive oil and then basting the chicken with the spices. And let it for approximately 1 hour.
  3. Basting the chicken with few of oil and then grill it on Anglo is traditional grill made by soil, (I’m using charcoal used for campfire), burn it and let the chicken not over cooked, if the chicken already well-cooked just remove it and put in plate and add some garnish.
  4. Chicken grill honey done served and ready for eat to make it more fascinating you can add some vegetables like cabbage, cucumber and chili sauce.
